Karachi: Former home minister Sindh Dr Zulfiqar Mirza has termed the alliance of Pakistan People’s Party and and Muttahida Qaumi Movement a curse for the nation.
He said on Monday that several senior PPP members were not happy with the decision to form the alliance. He added that various members of Sindh Assembly wanted to tender their resignations owing to the PPP-MQM alliance.
Referring to the targeted killing of police officers who participated in operations in 1992 and 1995, Mirza said some 300 honest officers were killed in Karachi , but not a single man was charged.
He said he was a brave man who acknowledged his mistakes, for which he should be credited. He said he was not willing to make any new political group.
The former Sindh minister said that Sindh High Court has summoned him on October 24, but he was waiting for Supreme Court of Pakistan’s summons.
