Karachi: The administrative judge Anti-Terrorism Courts, Justice Maqbool Baqir of Sindh High Court (SHC), on Saturday remanded central leaders of Sunni Tehrik (ST) including Shahid Ghori, Mubeen Qadri and other workers in police custody on physical remand till October 11.
The ST leaders and workers were named in an FIR for burning a mini bus in Organi Town on Friday. The ST leaders and workers on Saturday were produced before the administrative judge amid tight security. The judges handed the ST leader and workers over to police on physical remand.
It is to be mentioned here that on late Thursday and early Friday Ranger arrested over three dozen ST workers including central leader of the party, after violence was reported in some parts of the city following the strike call by ST against the conviction of Mumtaz Qadri in Salman Taseer murder case.
