Kalar Kahar: Funeral prayers of at least 12 who lost their lives in a tragic incident at Kalar Kahar were offered amidst sobs and grief.
At least 37 persons, mostly schoolchildren and a school’s vice principal lost their lives when their bus plunged into a ravine while rounding a bend on their way back from school picnic trip to a salt mine.
Receiving the body of their son, the bereaved family of Aftab Sarwar, a class-7 student is struck with grief. Uncle of the deceased said school management was responsible for the accident; while, the aggrieved father attributed the mishap to Allah Almighty’s will.
Bus carrying over 100 students of Millat Grammar School of Faisalabad was returning after a study tour when its brake failed and it turned over. Skidding off 400 meters to the next road turn, the ill-fated bus slid off the road into the ditch.
