Lahore: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Additional Director General Zafar Quershi has sought 15-day time from the trial to produce complete challan in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL() case.
A additional and session judge granted the time for the submission of challan till Oct 3. He said that the court would take up acquittal plea of accused Moonis Elahi, a son of senior Federal Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
Mooins’ counsel submitted before the court that the FIA officer was using delaying tactics in submitting the challan. He prayed that Moonis Elahi be released on bail.
Qureshi didn’t appear before the court due to security concerns and the court accepted his application in this regard.
