New Delhi: Pakistan’s former fast bowler Shoib Akhtar who opened a new Pandora Box of allegations in his autobiography “Controversially Yours” said that he had not been involved in match fixing but caught twice for ball tampering.
In an interview with an Indian television he said that there were two groups in the Pakistan cricket team when he joined.
Taking a dig at other fellow Pakistani cricketers he said that Shoib Malik was a stooge of former PCB chairman Naseem Ashraf and didn’t deserve captaincy.
Commenting on the Shoib’s sensational revelations former cricketers have criticized the speed star for leveling allegations against legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram.
Former PCB chairman Tauqir Zia said that he always supported youngsters not only Akhtar while former leg spinner Abdul Qadir said that Shoib should not talk about ball tempering.
Former reverse swing master Sarfaraz Nawaz was in full agreement with Shoib Akhtar, saying that Waqar and Waseem did not give opportunities with new ball to Akhtar.
