Islamabad: Medical experts of Pakistan’s Institute of National Health has declared the decision of closing schools, swimming pools and service stations in Punjab unnecessary and sent recommendations to Punjab government to review their decision.
According to the experts mosquitoes not born on waving waters and they do not lay breeds on such waters. They said mosquitoes cannot survive in the waters of service stations and swimming pools.
They said mosquitoes cannot born in swimming pools because of tiles. They also said that leaving mosquitoes eating fish in ponds and closure of schools cannot help overcoming the dengue fever.
Dr Mohammad Iftikhar said they have sent recommendations to Director General Health Punjab and Sindh and also advised avoiding taking steps that further increase the people problems.
