Karachi: Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has accepted the resignation of former senior Sindh minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza on late Tuesday.
Mirza has announced to tender his resignation on August 28. And Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah – on September 3 – requested the governor Sindh to accept the resignation. Notification in this regard has also been issued.
Meanwhile Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asma Arbab Alamgir said that PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has expelled Dr Mirza from party owing to the party violation.
It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Mirza had accused that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) want to break up Pakistan. He also alleged that Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik was involved in target killing incidents in Karachi and supporting MQM.
