Kurram Agency: Seven people were killed and one injured in Kuram when unidentified people opened fire on passenger van in the morning of second day of Eid.
The bereaved six commuters belonged to the a family. The incident happened in Makhi Zae area in Lower Kuram agency.
Local officials said that around 16-18 people were travelling in a passenger bus from Upper Kurram Agency towards Lower Kurram Agency when unidentified gunmen opened fire on the right-hand side of the van.
The firing also resulted in one person being injured.
The bodies and injured was shifted to nearby hospital where the treatment of injured was being carried out.
Kurram Agency has a history of sectarian violence, but authorities have not yet established whether this incident was sectarian or not.
