Karachi: The Pakistan People’s Party ministers from Sindh have started speaking against former minister Zulfiqar Mirza after receiving directives from President Zardari to cut off all relations with him.
Besides, they are also supporting the ongoing operation supervised by Interior Minister Rehman Malik in Karachi.
Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah while talking to media said that the situation in Karachi was different in the period of Zulfiqar Mirza as it changes with the passage of time.
The CM said that around 70 to 80 raids were being conducted daily to improve law and order situation.
On the other hand, Home Minister Manzoor Wasan also came out to oppose the ex-minister, saying that Mirza should had revealed about Rehman Malik during his time in the office. He said whatever Mirza is saying today is three-year old matter.
Wassan said that 500 accused have been arrested during the ongoing operation in Karachi in 10 days, claiming it a big success.
He also said that the government had improved law and order situation, while police and Rangers were working effectively, adding the operation was being conducted without any discrimination in the metropolis.
