Miranshah: United States unmanned drone fired two missiles in Pakistan’s tribal region of North Waziristan, leaving at least four people dead and two others injured in the early hours of Tuesday.
The CIA-operated unmanned plane fired two missiles at a house in Miranshah area of North Waziristan, which borders Afghanistan.
The death toll may rise as the injured were said to be in critical condition.
All of the deceased and injured were stated the local residents. No one has any link with any Taliban group, a private Pakistani news channel Express News reported.
North Waziristan and South Waziristan tribal regions of Pakistan have been frequently targeted by US drones over the past few years.
Thousands of people have been killed in the unsanctioned attacks.
The issue of civilian casualties has strained relations between Islamabad and Washington with the Pakistani government repeatedly objecting to the attacks.
