Islamabad: Additional Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Zafar Ahmed Qureshi on Tuesday told the Supreme Court of Pakistan that hurdles were being created in implementing the apex court orders.
Qureshi, an investigation officer of the multi-billion National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam, was stopped from entering FIA office Lahore after a bomb hoax Saturday. He told the SC that his officers of his investigation team had not returned files of case.
An SC bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the case. The CJ directed that FID director be part of the investigation team to probe NICL scam.
The court also ordered that FIA Lahore director be also produced before the court on Wednesday.
The CJ asked the attorney general what should be done as the court order were not being implemented.
He questioned if any case was registered against the bomb hoax or not.
The hearing was adjourned till Wednesday.
