Lahore: Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) is going to launch its educational program of free education in seven more districts so that maximum number of students could be accommodated.
According to a press release, Chairman Punjab Education Foundation, Raja Muhammad Anwar said to launch free educational program in seven more districts while addressing the ceremony held in connection with Pakistan Day at a partner school in Daroghawalla on Sunday.
Raja Anwar said that PEF is all set to launch its educational programs in new districts. This will help to accommodate more deserving students, he said. PEF has emerged as an efficient organization to give quality education to the poor students and its performance has also been recognized by the donor agencies.
While stressing upon the importance of education, he said that no civilized society could be formed sans education and added that Punjab Government was committed to promote literacy at the grassroots.
Various useful interventions of PEF have helped to open the doors of education to the poor, he said. It’s the basic right of the poor that their children could enjoy best educational facilities without any financial burden and PEF has enabled the poor communities to send their children to schools where they are getting quality education free of cost, he concluded.
The school students also presented fancy dress show and tableau besides national songs. The ceremony was also attended by teachers and parents.
