Karachi: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has explained that Local Body Ordinance has been reinstated to maintain law and order situation in the province.
Speaking to reporters in Karachi on Tuesday, Memon said that “PPP favors commissioner system in Sindh.” Sindh would not be separated until unless last PPP activist was alive, he said, adding Sindh’s partition would be done at our dead bodies.
To a question about ongoing protests against the revival of LB system, Memon termed it as people’s fundamental right. “We are ready to take every step to ensure peace,” he said.
He announced that amendments would be made in the LB System in consultation with all parties. Memon further stated that “we don’t want to ignite the fire of hatred and our first priority is to save life of common man.”
