Karachi: After the reinstatement of Police Act 1861, the possibilities of inducting assistant sub-inspectors, solely on political basis have become more possible.
Sources have informed that month before the termination of police order 2002, earlier inductions through Public Service Commission have been eschewed, in 40,000 applications received for the inductions of 700 assistant sub-inspectors, while police website form required each application to accompany Rs.500 worth of pay-order.
Sources have informed that before police order 2002, the last inductions for the post of assistant sub-inspectors were held in 1999, and which were conducted by police officials over political pressure.
However after the introduction of police order of 2002, Sindh Public Commission re-inducted sub-inspectors after a written test and interview.
