Karachi: Special Commandos of Karachi Police and Rangers have began a search operation in different violence-hit-areas of Karachi in the wee hours of Friday following the worst law and order situation in the metropolis in which five more people including a minor child were gunned down within last five years.
According to sources, more than 1,000 police and rangers personnel were participating in the operations.
The areas in which latest operation has been started are different areas of Orangi Town, Old Sabzi Mandi, Landhi, Malir and PIB Colony which, according to police sources, will be continued for two to three hours.
Special commandos of police have started house-to-house search in Gulfamabad and Bukhari Colony areas of Orangi Town headed by SSP Asif Aijaz Sheikh. Heavy contingent of police and rangers have been deployed at all entry and exit points of Orangi Town.
Orangi Town is the worst violence-hit-town in Karachi where over 70 people have so far been killed in this month, but not a single killer has so far been arrested.
