Peshawar: At least 11 militants, including Taliban Commander Noor Shah were killed and several others injured in clashes with security forces and in mid Kurram tribal region, sources said on Tuesday.
The sources said that Taliban militants stormed a security check post in Meqi area, killing one security official, and injuring four others, including an army major.
They said the forces retaliated with befitting manner and killed at least 10 and injured several militants. The area was still reverberating with heavy gunfire.
Pakistan Army launched military offensive in mid Kurram areas against the militants this month, landing troops backed by military, paramilitary forces and Pakistan Air Force.
