Karachi: The sit-in by KESC employees against the proposed retirement scheme and rift with administration is continuing on third day in front of Governor House Karachi, whereas the unscheduled load shedding has disturbed the normal routine of the people badly.
The sequence of load shedding in the city upto 6 to 8 hours daily is going on. The KESC administration does not pay any heed towards cable fault and feeder tripping for many days due to which the precious electronic appliances of the people are getting smoldered.
The KESC administration blamed the employees’ union CBA that it was intervening in the maintenance and repairing work of the department but the staff rejected this allegation and said that the administration want to sack us forcibly.
The spokesman of KESC has the same unchanged stance since long that as and when the provision of natural gas to KESC would get better, the load shedding would be finished. He also confirmed that not even a single worker was removed from the service so far.
