Anjam Akeel case: 11 accused sent on judicial remand

Islamabad: 32 accused in Anjum Akeel’s escape from police custody were presented in an anti-terrorism court. 21 accused have been sent on a judicial remand for 5 days.
Police has said that the accused helped Anjum Akeel in escaping from police custody. Police also said that it was important for the investigation to interrogate the accused as it would help in arresting Anjum Akeel.

The PML-N MNA Anjum Akeel has so far not turned up to the police.
Police is conducting raids in various areas of Islamabad to arrest culprits.

Also a case under the section 223/224 was registered against Shalimar Police Station SHO and 13 other policemen for committing negligence.
