Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement has demanded unconditional apology from Senior Sindh Minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza over his provoking statement against MQM Chief Altaf Hussain.
Joint emergency meeting of MQM’s Rabita (coordination) Committee simultaneously in Karachi and London decided that MQM would organise peaceful protest demonstration throughout the country on Thursday against Mirza’s statement.
The meeting denied accepting Mirza’s statement as his own.
It is pertinent to mention here President Asif Ali Zardari and other party leaders said that Dr Mirza’s statement should not be taken as party policy and MQM should show some patience.
MQM workers throughout Pakistan staged protest and chanted slogans against Dr Mirza. They said that no one reserves rights to pass statement against any party leader.
