Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday directed the government to suspend all notifications issued against FIA Additional Director General Zafar Qureshi.
An SC bench headed by Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry while hearing the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) summoned Interior Secretary Qamar Zaman Chaudhry for issuing another show cause notice to Qureshi.
The court also summoned the FIA director general for cancelling the transfer order of a subordinate officer.
“DG FIA should present the notification in court or go to jail,” The CJ remaked.
The CJ told Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq that he could not do anything against Zafar Qureshi without the court’s permission.
