Karachi: Pillion riding ban has been imposed in Karachi, Pakistan’s financial hub, for unidentified period, will effect from Tuesday midnight.
Additional Secretary Sindh Waseem Ahmed said that notification in this regard has also been issued. And the ban would continue till any further order.
The ban on pillion riding has been imposed in Karachi following the worst law and order situation in the metropolis.
Journalists, minor children, elderly men and women will remain out of the ban.
Earlier, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi Saud Mirza requested the Sindh government that pillion riding should be banned in current situation.
Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah has taken the notice of the most terrible law and order situation in Karachi.
