Quetta: At leas five officials of Frontier Corps (FC) was killed and six others injured when a convoy was attacked in Kaich district of Balochistan by a remote-controlled roadside bomb, sources said on Tuesday.
The sources said convoy was attacked with a road-side bomb in Gormazai area, adding that firing was also reported in the area. Heavy contingent of forces rushed to the spot and launched a search operation. The dead and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
The volatile province has been witnessing a low level insurgency since the death of Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti in an operaration.
