Damascus: Syrian security forces killed at least 37 civilians during massive protests across Syria on Friday.
The protesters were killed in capital Damascus, Dera, Latakia and Bin Yas. The protesters were taking part in anti-regime demonstrations in Syria. Six victims were reported in Homs. Two others were killed in the Qadam neighborhood of Damascus while one was killed in Daraya, which is located near the capital.
Human rights activits and protesters said that security forces loyal to President Bashar al Assad were searching homes. Hundreds of people have been killed while thousands others went missing, the claimed.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that over 1,400 civilians have been killed since the revolutionary protests started in mid-March.
