Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government was a hurdle in transferring of resources to the provinces.
Speaking at a meeting of party’s coordination committees from Balochistan the former prime minister said the province was the key to prosperity and peace of the country.
He added that injustices caused great losses to the country in the past.
While talking to media after the meeting he said there was sense of deprivation of amongst the people of Balochistan due to killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti and army operations. Nawaz said missing persons issue should be addressed soon to normalize the situation in the province.
Replying a query about the Manmohan Singh’s statement regarding Kashmir, the former prime minister termed it a “non political statement”.
Nawaz said a grand alliance should be formed to get rid of the incumbent government, adding that he had some reservations with some political parties.
He added that funds collected for the earthquake victims were diverted to recent AJK elections.
Nawaz said he would welcome MQM on the opposition benches.
