Islamabad: President of Pakistan and PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari has stopped its party leaders from giving controversial statements against Muttahid Qaumi Movement, who recently quit PPP-led government over differences with government.
PPP sources told MQM following its separation from ruling coalition, resignation of governor Sindh and decision to sit on opposition benches had criticized PPP leadership and government. PPP leaders had expressed their concern over it.
Sources said President Zardari had directed party leaders not to give any controversial statement against MQM. He hoped that dispute between PPP and MQM would soon be resolved and MQM reservations would be finished.
