Karachi: Pakistan Federal Board of Revenue has seized the accounts of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) for being default of Rs 150 million.
FBR on Tuesday ordered to recover the worth of 150 million. Notification in this regard has also been issued, KESC sources said.
After the closer of KESC accounts it would not be able to purchase furnace oil, KESC spokesman said.
The KESC spokesman claimed that FBR is defaulter of Rs 1600 million. To close KESC accounts was total injustice, the spokesman added.
Government of Pakistan, after signing various agreements with international organizations, has finished Pakistan Electric Power Company has been finished and it would be renewed. PEPCO would be finished by 30th June.
MD PEPCO Rasool Khan Mehsud would be given the charge of NTDC. Mehsud would take the charge of NTDC by July 01.
Asian Development Bank would provide US$100 billion with immediate effect to renew PEPCO.
