Islamabad: Information Secretary Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that the elections for Azad Jammu Kashmir legislative assembly were postponed in Karachi owing to of security reasons, adding that, decision to form government in AJK would be taken after consultation within the party.
In an exclusive chat with a private TV Channel, the party information secretary said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz contested the elections after splitting Muslim Conference. PPP believes in Politics of reconciliation and we had tried to work with PML-N in Punjab but Punjab government has broken all its election rigging records in AJK. Replying to a question, he said, the whole nation is aware of the Karachi situation.
The election commission had postponed elections in Karachi after request made by local administration, he said. The local administration can comment effectively in this regard, he said. The decision to form Government by PPP in AJK would be taken by President, Premier after consultation with Party.
