Kabul: At least seven US-led soldiers have been killed in separate militant attacks and bomb explosions in various parts of Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, said NATO.
NATO in a statement said that two soldiers were killed in a roadside blast in the west of the country while another died after a bomb went off in the south.
The Western alliance has not disclosed the nationalities of the soldiers or the exact location of the incidents.
Four NATO soldiers were also killed in Afghanistan on Saturday.
Earlier, three soldiers died in clashes with militants in the country’s east. Most soldiers serving in eastern Afghanistan are American.
NATO said that another soldier was killed in a militant attack in the south.
At least 2,550 international troops have lost their lives in Afghanistan since the invasion of the country in 2001.
The US-led forces casualties continue to rise in Afghanistan as withdrawal of troops has been announced by US, UK and France following the massive public pressure to end Afghan war.
The security situation has deteriorated across Afghanistan over the past few years despite the presence of around 150,000 US-led foreign troops in the country.
