Islamabad: Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has said that some nine million Computerised National Identity Cards have been expired.
General Manager NADRA Col. Muhammad Iqbal said that the some nine million were using expired CNICs.
The GM advised people to renew their CNICs quickly to avoid any legal complications because CNIC was necessary for opening bank accounts, selling or buying property and other legal requirements.
The NADRA authorities have increased the CNIC renewal fee from Rs 200 to Rs 300.
