Islamabad: British Foreign Minister William Hague on Thursday appreciated the US President Barrack Obama’s announcement regarding the troop drawdown in Afghanistan.
He said the UK had concerns over the killing of journalist Saleem Shahzad and use of violence against journalists. “I discussed the issue with the Pakistani authorities” he added.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Pakistan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar after a meeting, he said that Pakistan rendered great sacrifices in fighting against terrorists. He added that he discussed with Pakistani leadership terrorism related issue.
Willium Hague noted that the UK was playing its role to for the excess of Pakistani products to the European Union’s markets.
Speaking on the occasion Hina Rabbani Khar said Pakistan supported the political process in Afghanistan.
