Karachi: Four ships carrying containers, foil and edible oil were allotted berths at QICT, Multi Purpose and LCT Terminals of Port Qasim.
Meanwhile, two more ships scheduled to offload diesel and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was maintained at 90% at the Port Sunday where a total of eleven ships namely MV. Maersk Utah, MSC Magali, Acacia-N, Al Azizoo, Orient III, Sam Eagle, Indigo Ocean, Nahide-M, Atena, MV.
Iron Monger-5 and Sichem Ruby are occupying berths to load and unload containers of cement, foil, wheat, iron ore, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo handling operation were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume of 84486 tonnes, comprising 71631 tonnes imports and 12855 tonnes exports inclusive of cargo carried in 1730 containers was handled
