Karachi: Inspector General Police Islamabad, capital city of Pakistan, has been nominated as IGP Sindh Police following the removal of former IGP Sindh Fayyaz Leghari on the direction of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Notification in this regard would be issued soon.
Meanwhile, Bin Yameen, DIG Islamabad Police has been nominated as acting IGP Islamabad.
Sources said that Muttahida Qaumi Movemnet (MQM) had expressed concerns over the appointment of Wajid Durrani as new IGP Sindh.
It is pertinent to mention here that former IGP Sindh was removed from his post after the killing of a youth in Karachi on June 08.
