New Delhi: India will test fire its intercontinental ballistic missile Agani-V in December this year, news agencies reported on Saturday.
Reports said that the intercontinental missiles having range of 5,000 km would have capability to target northern parts of China, the purpose for which the missile is being designed.
According to the head of Indian Research and Development Organization the Agni five is capable of carrying nuclear warhead. Earlier, India had tested Agni-3 ballistic missile having range up to 3,000 km.
India embroiled on a plan to design intercontinental missile in response to Chinese Dong Feng missile which has the capability to hit all the cities of India.
