Peshawar: Tribal Areas Electricity Supply Company has Issued Notices to various Government Departments in FATA and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa to clear their dues amounting to Rs. 728.512 million by June 30, 2011.
According to a press release of the company issued here Monday TESCO had Rs. 667.811 million arrears against eleven major Govt departments in FATA and KPK by April 2011.
Out of total arrears Rs.24.790 million are pending against Cadet college Razmak, Rs. 41.841 million against FATA D.C, Rs.33.750 million against Garrison Engineers Army , Rs.37.442 million against Militia Scouts, Rs.27.786 million against Frontier Corps and Rs.43.412 million against Political Agents in FATA.
Similarly Rs.29.611 million arrears are outstanding against Higher Education, Rs.68.241 million against Health, Rs.130.780 million against Work & Services, 176.736 million against Water Management and Rs.53.422 million against irrigation & Power in KPK.
TESCO has issued notices to these departments for clearence of their dues in time because the financial position of company is fragile and it could not bear additional burden of arrears. The company would have no other option except to resort to disconnection of these departments if they failed to deposit their dues by the deadline.
The Chief Executive Officer TESCO Engr Pervez Khankhel Swati has directed field formations to expedite recovery from Government departments and ensure complete recovery from the defaulting Government connections by 30th June.
