Karachi: President Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh on Sunday threatened to adopt severe protest strategy if the KESC’s workers issues were not resolved within 72 hours.
Addressing a press conference at Mardan House Karachi, President ANP Sindh Shahi Syed said that the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) should have held significant discussions to resolve the issues.
He said that Pakhtoons were deliberately being held back from getting the jobs by eliminating the quotas and he strongly condemned it.
He appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu action and resolve the matter. He said citizens in Karachi have been facing severe complexities, while extortionists were threatening traders and taking bribery from them.
