Sri Nagar: Chairman All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the international community should facilitate resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq talking to the newsmen after a meeting with a delegation of European Union (EU) in Srinagar said that the members of delegation informed him that EU was encouraging Pakistan and India to solve all the disputes through dialogue process.
Talking on the occasion, Kashmiri leader, Sajjad Ghani Lone, underlined the need to be innovative and proactive in resolving the longstanding dispute. He apprised the members of delegation about the existing situation in the disputed territory.
The Jamiat-e-Ahl-e-Hadith President, Ghulam Rasool Malik, and the Vice President, Abdul Rehman Butt, briefed the EU delegation about historical perspective of the dispute and the sacrifices of Kashmiri people for the peaceful liberation struggle.
The delegation comprised Ambassador of European Union to India, Daniele Smadja, Ambassador of Ireland, Knneth Thompson, Ambassador of Belgium, Pierre Vaesan, First Secretary EU, Philipp Gross and Attache EU, Anne Vaugier-Chatterge.
