Karachi: At least eight people were killed in various firing incidents in Karachi, metropolitan city of Pakistan, on Saturday.
Three people were killed and one injured in Layari. Two tortures marked bodies were tortured were recovered from KMC Gattar Baghecha in Pak Colony.
Local police said both the bodies had been shifted to Eidhi mortuary being unidentified.
Another body has been recovered from Layari stream near Hassan Olaya village. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for postmortem. The body is many days old and only postmortem report could reveal how he was murdered.
One Ashraf, 40, was gunned down in a hotel located in Paracha Chowk in the area of Sher Shah police.
According to police the victim was a worker in site factory and was resident of Nazimabad No 2.
Unidentified armed men shot dead Arshad near Purana Haji camp on Siddique Wahab road. According to police, the victim was member of a gang.
A man, Asfand Ali, was killed in sector 5-E. The body has been shifted to Abbasi hospital.
Meanwhile, two persons were killed in an exchange of fire between two gangs in Malir area of Karachi.
DIG East Captain (r) Tahir Naveed said two criminal gangs clashed in Malir area, leaving two persons dead. He said that heavy contingent of police reached the area after the incident to control the situation, Dunya News reported.
When police investigated about the persons killed in the firing, it was found that they were wanted by the police in different cases, he added.
