Washington: Pakistan has informed the US that it will grant access to Osama Bin Laden’s wives after a key request by the White House, a US official.
Despite tense relations between both the two countries over the unilateral raid by the US Navy Seals on Pakistani soil, the official said the US expects to have access to Bin Laden’s three wives soon.
The White House Monday said that the US is interested to know how Bin Laden passed life in hiding.
The women have been in Pakistan’s custody since the Seals helicoptered away from the compound with bin Laden’s body.
However, there is no confirmation from Pakistani government to provide access to the US officials to Bin Laden’s wives.
According to the media reports, there were three wives at the time of the US raid. The wives including Umm-e-Hamza, Umm-e-Khalid and Amal al Saada. The first two wives hailed from Saudi Arabia while Amal al Saada was from Yemen.
