Brussels: The European Union has imposed sanctions on Syria, regarding to the shipment of arms, because of the bloody crackdown against protesters in the country by the Syrian President Bashar al Assad‘s regime.
According to a released, issued by the EU, 13 nominated Syrian government officials were also banned from travelling across all the 27 member countries of the EU. The bank accounts and assets of these officials were also freeze.
It is pertinent to mention here that these sanctions were recommended last week but it took few days to be approved by the member countries.
