Ankara: Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan has said that a policeman has been killed and another one injured in a grenade attack on their vehicle following his election rally in central Turkey.
A local news agency reported that assailants Wednesday ambushed the vehicle with gunfire and grenades in a mountainous area as they escorted a bus carrying journalists after the rally in the city of Kastamonu. Erdogan had earlier left the spot by helicopter, the news agency reported.
No one has claimed the responsibility of the attack.
