Rawalpindi: Chief Minster Punjab, Pakistan’s biggest province, Shahbaz Sharif has held a secret meeting with Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, soon after the power sharing formula between PPP and PML-Q has been finalized on late Sunday night, source said.
The sources said that army and Pakistan Muslim Leageu-Nawaz (PML-N) have not denied the meeting, but they did not speak anything regarding the secret talks.
According to the sources Shahbaz Sharif, the brother of former prime minister Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, reached Rawalpindi and held an emergency meeting with COAS, but discussion of the meeting was being kept in secret.
The sources said that Sharif reached the General Headquarter Rawalpindi without any protocol and then reached CM House Islamabad and later flew to Lahore from a special charter plane.
