Dera Ghazi Khan: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Sunday that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would support the idea of establishing new provinces in the country, including Karachi. His statement came at the time when the PML-Q and the PPP are supporting demand of establishing South Punjab and Bahawalpur province.
Speaking to media during his visit to Dera Ghazi Khan the chief minister said that lack of education was the cause of the terrorism in the country. Sharif while criticizing the US drone attacks in Pakistan said that the attacks were proving counter productive.
Meanwhile, The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh denounced the Sharif’s statement. MQM chief Altaf Hussain in his statement said that his party was not in favour of establishing new provinces in Sindh.
