Karachi: Chief Minister Sindh, the southern province of Pakistan, Syed Qaim Ali Shah has expressed grave concern over the prolonged power outage in Karachi, the financial hub of Pakisan, and said it would not allowed.
While presiding a meeting in CM house with Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) and high level officials of provincial government he said 14-hour load shedding in Karachi is a matter of concern. The meeting discussed the issue of prolonged load shedding and its solution.
He said KESC administration should fill its gas short fall through fertilizer industries and CNG stations. He said industrial areas should be kept let off because Sindh government would not tolerate from load shedding in industrial areas.
KESC officials during the meeting stated that KESC is facing a gas short fall of 200 MMCFD and to increase load shedding hour is our compulsion. But load shedding hours could be reduced if gas was supplied in proper quantity.
