Rawalpindi: Former City Police Officer (CPO) Saud Aziz and Rawal Town Superintendent Police (SP) Khurram Shehzad accused in Benazir Bhutto murder case were released on bail here on Thursday.
The accused submit Rs one million surety bonds each and also submits their passports as per the court orders.later they were released from the Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.
A division bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) headed by Chief Justice Ejaz Chaudhry on Tuesday  had granted bail to both the accused and directed them to submit their passports to the court and one million surety bonds each.
Both the police officers were charged with deliberately hosing down the crime scene where the former prime minister and Pakistan Peoples Chairperson Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on December 27, 2007, and committing official negligence in duty in the provision of security to the former prime minister under section 120-B of Pakistan Penal Code.
