Mumbai: Final contest of cricket World Cup 2011 will be played today (Saturday) between two Asian and co-host countries, India and Sri Lanka, at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai.
Two legendary players India’s Sachin Tendulkar and Muttiah Muralitharan from Sri Lanka will play their last world cup match.
Experts declared India most favourite for the final match as compare to Sri Lanka. But they said toss could perform vital role for the match.
They said pitch of the ground is bouncy and a good batsman can enjoy bating on the fast outfield of the ground. They said 280 or 290 will be a good total while 260 will be a defending total.
Tough match will be expected because both the teams are in brilliant form.
This is the first time when two Asian countries will meet in the final of cricket mega events.
High level security measures have been taken ahead of the final match.
Pakistan’s Aleem Dar and Simon Toufel from Australia will supervise the final of the World Cup 2011.
Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaky will also reach Mumbai to enjoy the final and boost the moral of Kumar Sangakkara guys.
