Lahore: Punjab government has given 24 hours to young doctors to end their one month long strike that have been taken the lives of five people and several facing a great trouble.
A meeting headed by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif decided that strict action would be taken against young doctors through Necessary Service Act if they did not come on their duties within 24 hours.
The meeting also decided medical emergency would be imposed if needed. Patients would not be left alone at any cost, the meeting assured. The government would utilize private doctors if needed, the meeting decided.
Meanwhile, Punjab cabinet agreed to give salaries decided by a committee led by Zulfiqar Khosa, advisor to Chief Minister of Punjab.
