Rawalpindi: An anti-terrorism court on Saturday summoned Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Wajid Zia over noncompliance of arrest warrants for former military ruler Pervez Musharraf in Benazir assassination case.
FIA prosecutor Chaudhry Azhar submitted a compliance report of British High Commission report regarding arrest warrant of Musharraf and contended that the report was as similar to the previous report sent by the High Commission.
He informed the court that Kashif Riaz,applicant of the case had been trying to escape from the country as he had submitted an application requesting permission to go abroad.
The court adjourned the case till April 9.
Former prime minister and the PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto was killed in Liaquat Bagh Rawalpindi ground on December 2007 in a suicide and shooting attack when she was leaving the ground after addressing a public meeting.
Later, the crime scene was hosed down shortly after the incident without collecting evidences from the spot, in mysterious circumstances.
