Islamabad: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the PPP government is breathing its last.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said that he had not received any letter from the Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani regarding reappointment of Deedar Hussain Shah as Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Nisar said that Deedar’s appointment could not be considered until the Supreme Court issues its detailed verdict. He added that he had not been consulted about the appointment of the NAB chief.
The opposition leader condemned the PPP’s reaction to the SC verdict and said that the party forced the people to observe strike.
A truck was torched near Bilawal House by the PPP activist, he said, adding that the government is responsible for killings of nine innocent people in Karachi during strike.
Nisar said that PPP was fanning hatred among provinces to protect its government. He added that President was down to knees before the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to save his government.
He also criticized the PML-Q leadership for joining hand with the PPP and said that both the parties have leveled serious allegations against each other in the past.
