Islamabad:The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday declared appointment of Justice Deedar Hussain Shah as Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) illegal and ordered him to step down from his position forthwith.
A four-member bench headed by Justice Javed Iqbal after completing hearing of the case on Thursday issued the unanimous short order.Â
Appointment of Deedar Hussain Shah as chairman NAB was challenged by Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and a free lance journalist Shahid Orakzai.
