Karachi: The month of March brought another wave of bloodshed in Karachi, the financial hub of Pakistan, as first nine days of the month claims forty four lives including three police officials and two terrorists.
Among the deceased of political parties four belonged to MQM, one each of Pakhtoon Student Federation, Mohajir Qaumi Movement and Shabab Milli. Only eleven people were killed in Orangi Town.
Some three people have been gunned down after kidnapping in the night of March 1st in separate incidents in North Nazimabad, Defence Black Bridge and Rinchor Town. One suicide-bomber blew himself in Bhains Colony on 1st March while same day three other persons including two police personnel Akram and Ahetsham. Four persons including one police constable namely of Saleem, Abdul Rasheed, Jan Muhammad Baloch, Waqar Hussain and Imtiaz were killed on March in separate areas of Karachi, the business hub of the country.
On March 4, three persons including Shakeel Dad, Rehman and Hafiz Saad were gunned down while one terrorist killed and another five injured in a militant’s compound. Maulana Ahmed Madni and his son Abu-Bakar were killed on March 5 in Buffer Zone, area of Karachi city. While two other persons namely of Zahid Hussain and Muhammad Yasin were killed in Dhani Bax.
On March 6 and 7, eight persons were gunned down in separate incidents of violence in different areas of the mega city. At least 12 people were lost their lives in the next two days while one person died and two other injured by the alleged firing of Rangers in Momanabad.
